Heart deceased

I shall not cease my faith to be

I cannot posture to believe

To do so be witness to my own declining heart

To do so a neglected devote to that heartbeat passed.

To walk each step a pain endured

To participate in life a task

that  daily lacks the strength suffice.

Choice eludes and none enhance.

The path I may choose in waking moments

only contrives a twisted future sight

Now self serving now to terrify.

Each day the covers turn then wake

Each moment past then survived

Each dormant dream evades to spirit now

Buried with my beloveds Ash.

I shall not cease her faith in me

I cannot decline what she believed

I will not forego my current mind

Honour that promise to her missing heartbeat.
